We'll laugh for a long time about the first couple of things that she said to me. I'll keep the first to myself, but the second was, "Did I miss any good fights?" I'm pretty sure she was talking about her VERY innocent parents... maybe not. Either way, we're in trouble. She was out for half a day, but she hasn't missed a beat.
She's asked that I take pictures to document the day, but I'll have to wait to post those until she gets her private room. No cameras allowed in the holding room.
When we get in the private room, I'll try to wrap it all up.
Praying for Sarah and thinking of her all day! So glad to hear good news!!!
ReplyDeleteI know you all must be so glad she is now on the other side of surgery! Praying for a complete recovery!

ReplyDeleteSarah and Pat,
ReplyDeleteI teach at SHS. I know many of Sarah's co-workers. I had an acoustic neuroma removed 5 1/2 years ago. It took 2 surgeries but all is great now. I have requested you both as my friend on facebook. When you get back to northwest ark please contact me. I would love to sit and visit with Sarah and reassure her all will be okay. PS: My kids were 5 yrs and 18 months when I was diagnosed. I will pray for you and your family. It will be fine...:) Jennifer Baker

ReplyDeleteDear Sarah and Pat,
ReplyDeleteI found put from Joe's post yesterday on FB about what you guy are going through. It's amazing how much love and support you have for each other and see the encouragement form your friends and even those who don't know you personally. Just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you as well, and sending you my best wishes from Scotland for the speed recovery. Hang in there, I am sure everything gonna be all right. Olesya (from Russia)
Sarah,
ReplyDeleteThe Lord is so sweet, so good and so caring. Have you thought Sarah, that you and the surgeon were wrapped in the Lord's arms in the surgery suite, while your family was also wrapped in His arms in the waiting room. We are loved and cared for by such an loving Lord. What an awesome God we serve, sweet Jesus.
I praise the Lord for your surgery's success. I also praise him because through this journey you are on, others will be helped. When I went to the link to the MD Anderson website on your blog, the thought came to me as "Wow, I wonder how many people this will help that didn't think they had any hope with their brain tumors." The Lord says in his word that my people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge. Praise the Lord because others now have knowledge and hope concerning this disease.
You're in my prayers for a speedy recovery so you can get home soon to those cute kids.
Love you,
Karen Williamson
