Connection Group Baby Shower

On Sunday, our connection group (a.k.a. Sunday school class!) took us to lunch at Jason's Deli and showered baby Owen with gifts.  Lynlee was so excited and took total control.  She unwrapped every gift at lightening speed!  Here are some of pictures from our lunch.  Thanks again to everyone.  We are so blessed to have such a wonderful support group!

Adam and Helga Coleman!

Cody and Shannon Davis! Sorry Shannon, but this is the only picture I got with Cody in it!

Ian and Lauren Hardaway, plus Helga too!  If you look closely you can see baby Hayden in Lauren's Moby wrap.  She is only a week (or two) old and doesn't Lauren look amazing!

Jill and Mark Robertson sitting by Mark and Abby Milbrodt!  Abby is 20 weeks pregnant and finds out Thursday what they are having.

Jason, Katie, and Zach Rowe!  BIG thanks to Katie because she organized everything!

Jon and Kristin Bodenstein! She is also expecting a baby boy in March.

Here's a big group pic.

Lindsey and Jon Richey sitting by Joni and Cody Crawford.  Joni is expected a baby boy in just a week or two.

Jennifer and Josh Francis!  Big thanks to Jennifer for sacrificing her lunch to write down all our gifts.  We were both having a hard time keeping up with Lynlee!

Here's the princess herself!  She is attempting to "read" the card!

Thanks again to everyone! It was a great lunch!  Sorry I don't have any pictures of the presents, but let me assure you that they were all super cute!

Package

Yesterday we got home and our mail box was overflowing with mail.  Little did we know there was a package stuffed in there!  My dear friend Stephanie Wood sent Owen AND Lynlee a little surprise.  Lynlee was so excited.  Here are pictures of Lynlee holding the precious gifts.  Note she still has that dorky smile!

This is a cute princess purse.  Lynlee loves princesses so Steph nailed that one perfectly!! She's been playing with it all day.  I'm still convinced this is just a stage and my daughter will not be prissy all her life!  She's got to be sporty like mom, right???

This is a precious monkey for Owen!  For those that know me really well....you also know Babar!! Steph's card said that she searched everywhere for the real Babar, but since my Babar is just a bear she thought any animal would do!  It's perfect and that comment makes it so special!

I was on the floor laughing at Lynlee's smiles. I don't know if you can even call them that!  The last picture reminds me of myself when I had Bells Palsy!

Weekend Visitors

This weekend our friends Nick and Sara Allen with their two four-month old bundles of joy, Bailey and Brody, came to visit!  Lynlee was on cloud nine.  We have a Dora DVD that is all about Dora's mommy having a baby.  The surprise ending is that Dora's mommy has 2 babies, a boy and a girl!! (Hopefully she's not expecting that from me!) She also asked Santa for a girl baby and a boy baby, which of course she got.  So needless to say, these babies are Lynlee's dream and they blessed her with their presence.

What a precious family!

She couldn't contain her excitement!

We are willing to take any advice on what in the world to do about this crazy smile!! This is the face we encounter every time we get our camera out! I know one day we will look back on this and miss this "precious" face.

Hanging out with Cousins!

We spent a day at GiGi and G-pop's house with Lynlee's cousins, Belle, Dru, and Jeb.

Here is a super scary scene.  Yes, that is Lynlee DRIVING a Barbie Jeep with Jeb as her passenger! Remember Lynlee is 2 and Jeb is 11 months!

Here are the girls in their matching princess nighties!  Lynlee is on cloud 9 because she loves doing everything her cousins do and she also is obsessed with princesses!

Boys watch out!  These are the fiercest super model poses you will ever see!  This is not just an action shot...Lynlee is actually posing!  I think she has a future!!

Welcome the new blogger!

I finally did it!  I took the leap and I'm creating a blog!!  Those that know me know that I'm not the best with time management!  I'm hoping I will actually be able to keep up with this project.  A lot of you also know that my sister-in-law, Angela, has an amazing blog.  We are related, but not by blood so understand that I cannot write anything like her.  And I can almost guarantee that nearly every sentence I write will probably be grammatically incorrect!

Here's a little bio:  Pat and I have been married for 4 1/2 years.  He works for Tyson Foods and I work for Springdale public schools as a speech-language pathologist.

Then we decided to get a dog!  Meet Oxford.  He is our 100 lbs chocolate lab!

Next came our precious 2 1/2 year old daughter, Lynlee Kate.  She keeps us laughing and busy!

Lastly, Owen Patrick will be joining us on approximately February 25th!  I'm doing you all a favor by not providing a picture of my 8 month pregnant belly!
